"Finally, a book of transcriptions of one of the 21st centurys most influential saxophonists, Chris Potter. AJ has given us a glimpse into the mind of a great improviser. There's an incredible wealth of study in these transcriptions and I and my students will have these to work on for years and years to come! Thanks for filling the void!!" - Mark Colby, recording artist, Depaul University, Elmhurst College
"I've been working on transcribing a few Potter solos so i know first hand that it is an insane task and very time consuming. I just received the book today and am excited to look through it and work on some of the solos...Thanks AJ for the great book." - Steve Neff, Saxophonist/Educator www.neffmusic.com

Jazz Etude and Duet Books by Greg Fishman - highly recommended
If you're a teacher looking for some great material for your students or a progressing student looking for practice materials, Greg Fishman's Jazz Etude and Jazz Duet books are for you. I use these books with my progressing jazz students on saxophone and clarinet and find them to be wonderful studies in step-wise (3/7/3) resolutions, enclosures, phrasing, and all around bebop vocabulary. I highly recommend them to all players persuing greater knowledge of the jazz language and improvisational acumen. To learn more about the books and Greg himself, follow the link below. Oh, and by the way, I'm not the only one that thinks these books are great...
"A powerful sight reading, ear training, swinging, improvising jazz tool. Perfect for the student of jazz." ––Michael Brecker
"These etudes are little masterpieces. I will be using these with virtually all my students from now on. ––Mark Colby
"A lot of the students with whom I come in contact will definitively get this book on my recommendation. It looks deceivingly simple, but looks are deceiving. Greg is not only a fantastic saxophonist, he is a marvelous teacher." ––James Moody
